By LINDA JONES, chairperson of the GFS Spring ArtFest

Mark your calendars for a weekend of creativity and inspiration! The artists of Great Falls Studios invite you to the 2025 Spring ArtFest, taking place Saturday and Sunday, May 3rd and 4th, from 10AM to 5PM.

This beloved community event brings together a diverse group of local artists, showcasing their work at three vibrant venues across town:

The Grange – 9818 Georgetown Pike The Artists’ Atelier – 746 Walker Road Artists on the Green – 776B Walker Road

Visitors are also encouraged to stop by The Arts of Great Falls at 756 Walker Road, where the local art school will be open for tours.

EXPERIENCE THE ART OF GREAT FALLS

Great Falls Studios is a collective of artists working across various media, from oil, watercolor, and mixed media paintings to photography, jewelry, fiber arts, and woodcarvings. At Spring ArtFest, these talented creators come together to share their passion and craftsmanship with the community.

This year, we are thrilled to welcome two new members:

Meghanne Sennott, a photographer whose background in Applied Social Psychology influences her dreamlike, often spiritual imagery, capturing moments of daily life in both natural and urban settings.

Nancy Ross, a jewelry artist specializing in bespoke, one-of-a- kind designs that reflect a range of styles and aesthetics.

Returning to ArtFest is Mike Long, whose masterful woodcarvings will once again be on display at The Grange. From sculptural furniture to intricately designed walking canes, each of his pieces is a testament to the natural beauty of wood. “Every project is a new adventure,” Mike says, as he allows the unique characteristics of each piece to guide his creative process.

ArtFest is a celebration
of community, creativity, and connection—and it’s an event the whole family can enjoy! Be sure to visit The Grange, where children can participate in a hands-on art activity table designed just for them.

Join us May 3rd and 4th, as we come together to celebrate the incredible artistry of Great Falls. Admission is free, and all are welcome!
