Rise Above Be Relentless Foundation Empowering Women, Children, and Veterans to Heal
Founded by Sumeya Gibril, the Rise Above Be Relentless Foundation is dedicated to supporting women and children who have experienced sexual trauma and domestic violence, including military sexual trauma. The foundation’s mission is to help survivors regain control of their lives and discover new paths to healing through compassion, empowerment, and resilience.
A Swing for a Cause
The inaugural Rise Above Golf Classic brought together an inspiring community of supporters united by a shared purpose—to make a difference. Thanks to the incredible generosity and enthusiasm of all who participated, the event raised over $5,500 to benefit women and children on their healing journey.
Leading up to the golf tournament, in just five months, the foundation was fortunate to secure more than $14,000 in sponsorships and donations from generous partners. Their belief in the mission made this special day possible and filled it with purpose.

Looking Ahead: The Hearts of Valor Gala
The momentum continues with the upcoming Hearts of Valor Gala, taking place November 11 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Tower Club Tysons.
Guests are invited to enjoy an evening of elegance and purpose, dressed in red, white, and blue cocktail attire. The gala includes entry, delicious hors d’oeuvres, and one drink—all while supporting programs that uplift service members, veterans, women, and children as they rise above adversity.
