Summer Switch: Transitioning Your Skincare for the season
BY SONA SUT Licensed Master Aesthetician

As we step into the summer months, it’s time to reevaluate your skincare wardrobe. Just like we trade our coats for linen, our skin needs lighter, breathable formulations to thrive in warmer weather. Rich creams and heavy oils that served us well in winter can now feel suffocating, leading to congestion and dullness. Start by swapping out dense moisturizers for gel-based or water-light hydrators that offer deep moisture without the weight. Look for serums rich in hyaluronic acid and antioxidants to keep your skin plump and protected from environmental stressors. SPF, of course, is non- negotiable—choose one that feels luxurious enough to wear daily.
Summer is also a great time to embrace gentle exfoliation to clear away buildup from sunscreen, sweat, and travel. The goal isn’t to strip your skin, but to keep it fresh, balanced, and radiant.
PRO TIP: Keep a hydrating facial mist in your bag to refresh your skin throughout the day. A classic like Evian Spray Mist is perfect for a quick cooling boost without disrupting makeup.
