Our residents will be the first to tell you that the staff is the heartbeat ❤️ of Vinson Hall. Our dedicated team of 296 employees are on campus day in and day out, ready to lend a hand and make this community the special place that it is.
Whether it is by preparing meals 🍽️, making repairs 🛠️, driving residents 🚗 to appointments, planning events 🎉, or going the extra mile at the concierge desk, our staff work hard to meet our residents’ needs. We’re committed to making Vinson Hall the best it can be for those who call it home.

At Vinson Hall, our residents and staff collaborate to maintain the high quality of life in our community. Through resident committees that work directly with leadership on everything from dining 🍲 and wellness 🏃♂️ to community programming 🎨, we ensure that every voice is heard and every need is met.
🎁 Showing Appreciation
Residents show their appreciation each year through the Resident Association’s Holiday Gift Fund, which allows them to give holiday gifts to staff that they are not permitted to tip during the year.
Additionally, our Navy Marine Coast Guard Residence Foundation launched the Employee Caring Fund in 2020 to support employees facing unexpected financial hardships, pursuing coursework or licensure, or deserving a special bonus 💵 for above-and-beyond efforts. Since its inception, the fund has granted over 1,300 staff awards totaling nearly $600,000!
🎉 Fun & Family Spirit
At Vinson Hall, we are a family, and we all have fun together! At our recent Gala fundraiser 💃, residents and staff joined on the dance floor to kick up their heels. There’s always plenty of spirited rivalry when residents and staff compete for the best Halloween costumes 👻 or battle for first place in Corn Bag toss tournaments 🌽.
