While we Love Our Partners, Do We Like Them?

By YOUSOF FARYAR – Fitness Lab VA, Transformation Coach

It’s a question worth asking. In the chaos of daily life—work deadlines, chores, kids, errands, and social obligations—it’s easy to get swept up in doing rather than being. We become efficient teammates, co-parents, or household managers, but somewhere along the way, we may forget the why—why we chose this person, why we fell in love, and what made us want to build a life together in the first place. Love can become quiet, familiar, even distant. But connection doesn’t have to fade. It just needs a little space to breathe. That’s where we begin again. Let’s reconnect—intentionally, gently, and honestly. Let’s carve out time to reflect, not just on our relationship, but on ourselves within it. Do we feel seen? Heard? Are we sharing joy, laughter, and vulnerability, or simply checking the boxes of daily survival? Counseling is not a sign of failure—it’s an invitation to grow. To rediscover not just love, but like. To be curious again about the person you wake up next to.

Join me, Yousof, in this journey. A space to reconnect, repair, and reimagine your relationship—together. Because liking each other matters just as much as loving each other. For more information, follow us on social media @youso or email us at yousof@fitlab.co.
