McLean Project for the Arts Establishes New Arts & Education Center in Downtown McLean

The McLean Project for the Arts (MPA) is expanding! Thanks to a transformative gift from longtime supporter Bruce L. Berlage, MPA is bringing the Berlage Arts & Education Center to downtown McLean. This new location will enhance arts access, education, and community engagement.

What’s Coming:
- 3 new exhibition galleries
- State-of-the-art ceramics studio
- Indoor/outdoor café space
Construction: Begins this summer

Community & Economic Impact:
- $500,000 support from Fairfax County Board of Supervisors
- Major campaign support from McLean Community Center, McLean Community Foundation, Monett family, and Silvia Sagari & Magdi Iskander
- $5.6M raised of $6.25M goal

Programming Highlights:
- ArtReach program for youth
- Exhibitions by emerging & established artists
- Community events like MPAartfest
The new center will complement MPA’s existing programs and serve as a cultural hub for the community.
